Ecuador Survivors Shaken By Strong New Quake

Ecuador has been hit by a magnitude 6 earthquake – less than a week after a magnitude 7.8 quake killed 587 people.

 

The latest one struck about 62 miles (100km) north-northwest of Portoviejo and at a depth of six miles (10km), said the US Geological Survey.

 

President Rafael Correa said on Twitter that three aftershocks were registered on Thursday night.
