Key Tenants of a Value System at the Second Coming of Christ

As believers in Jesus Christ and the Word of God, we know that we are in a time when adhering to our Christian values is more important than ever as the Second Coming of Christ approaches.

The Bible teaches us that as Christians, we must adhere to certain values and commandments set forth by God. As saved individuals born again in Christ, the key values that we hold are essential to lead us to the Second Coming. While societal values continue to dissipate and signs indicate our nearing the end time, resisting the temptation to “go with the flow” is growing increasingly difficult. Remembering the foundation to the key tenants of a Christian value system, however, will mean salvation not only for ourselves, but for others as well.

Bible Study

Romans 10:17 tells us, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Clinging to faith can buoy the spirit and remind us that we are God’s children, meant to follow His will. Regular Bible study opens us up to what He wants us to know, giving us hope when we need it, correction when we are off kilter, and the faith to sustain us throughout life. The Bible lays out the Christian value system and tells us exactly what we need to be doing in our daily lives to follow the example of Christ.

Prayer

If faith comes from hearing the Word of God, prayer is the healing balm that restores us and brings us closer to God. When we pray, we do not always get what we are asking for, but as Jesus said in John 15:7, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Follow God’s word, humble yourself before Him, and He will provide for you when the time is right.

Fellowship

The time will come when we, as believers, will be persecuted. We must stand strong, stand together, and continue in fellowship with one another. Hebrews 10:25 is a particularly appropriate verse: “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching.” Church and community play important roles in strengthening our faith by allowing us to regularly gather in the same purpose and honor the same God who unites us. As we join in fellowship, we exhort one another.

Ministry

One of our key Christian values is sharing the word of God. Those without faith will be lost when the end ultimately comes. As Christians, we know and believe this, so it is our duty—our imperative—to minister to those who do not know God. When we spread the message of faith and hope, we encourage others to be saved and follow God. What could be more important than that?

One of the very special and important ministry missions of Endtime Ministries at this time is the Jerusalem Prophecy College. As Israel is currently involved in peace negotiations, the peace treaty that could result is a signal of the beginning of the Final 7 Years prophesied in the Bible. God has called us to minister to the Jews living in Israel, educating them about the biblical prophecies of the New Testament and what to expect in their country after the treaty is signed. This monumental project saw the distribution of over 2 million magazines to all homes in Israel, inviting them to learn about our understanding of the end time. The key tenants of our Christian value system will continue to be more important in the near future as we approach the Second Coming of Christ. Christians must shine a light, set an example and show the world the power of God’s love and redemption. We invite you to learn more about Endtime Ministries in fellowship and learning by attending one of our many events across the country.
