A Special Message from Irvin Baxter
God is good, and what a joy it is to serve Him! I trust this letter finds you enjoying the continuing blessings of God upon your life.
In this time of rapid prophetic fulfillments, the question I am asked the most is, “In light of events that we know are just ahead, what are we supposed to do?” The inquiries range from: “What do we do with our money? Should I cash out my IRA? Should we be storing food and water? Should we build a bomb shelter? Should we move to Australia?” etc.
What does Lie Ahead?
We may not know every single thing that will take place in the future, but there are many things we do know because the Bible’s prophecies are specific and clear. Here are some things clearly prophesied for the future:
The 6th Trumpet War of Revelation 9:13-16
This war will start from the Euphrates River and will kill one-third of mankind. After over two billion human beings die, the world will never be the same.
The UN will be Greatly Strengthened
After the horrible devastation of the Sixth Trumpet War, the UN will be empowered to prevent war from ever happening again. This may even include the suspension of the veto power of the Big Five on the UN Security Council.
Palestinian-Israeli Peace Agreement
Horrified by the unprecedented destruction of the Sixth Trumpet War, the World Community will demand that Palestinians and Israelis reach a peace agreement. The global pressure will be irresistible.
The Final 7 Years to Armageddon will Begin
This Palestinian-Israeli peace agreement will mark the beginning of the Final Seven Years to the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus to earth.
A Palestinian State will be Created in the West Bank.
Some people think that the “two-state solution” is dead. However, the scriptures clearly indicate that a Palestinian state will soon be implemented in the West Bank, which is biblical Judea-Samaria.
Many Jews will Remain in Judea Living Under the New Palestinian State.
There are close to 800,000 Jews now living across the 1967 borders. As many as 400,000 of them live in the area that will become the new Palestinian state. Many of them will choose to remain in their homes under the jurisdiction of the new Palestinian state.
The Temple Mount will be Shared Between Jews and Gentiles.
Revelation 11:1-2 clearly prophesies the Temple Mount being shared between Jew and Gentile, during the 42 months before the Second Coming of Jesus. This sharing arrangement will be supervised by the World Community. A bill has already been introduced in the Israeli Knesset that calls for the sharing of the Temple Mount.
Under the Peace Agreement, Jerusalem will Temporarily Remain Under Israeli Control.
The prophesied peace agreement will be a seven-year agreement. The Palestinians say there will be no peace unless east Jerusalem becomes the Palestinian capital. Israel will refuse to divide her capital. To save the peace agreement, the final resolution to the Jerusalem issue will be put on hold until the end of the interim agreement.
Israel will Build Her Temple on the Temple Mount Without Disturbing the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque.
All of the furniture and the utensils required for resumption of Jewish temple worship have now been reconstructed. They are on display in the Temple Institute in Jerusalem. The only thing stopping the building of Israel’s Third Temple is a political solution to the dispute over the Temple Mount.
Israel will Begin Offering Animal Sacrifices as They did in the Old Testament.
For several years in a row, religious Jews have requested permission from the government to offer an animal sacrifice on the Temple Mount during the time of Passover. This request has always been refused. However, animal sacrifices will be resumed once the Jewish temple is built.
There will be Worldwide Opposition to the Sacrifices. Consequently, the Antichrist will Order the Sacrifices to be Stopped.
It’s not hard to imagine the rabid opposition from the animal rights activists to the daily sacrifice of animals. The scriptures say the Antichrist will cause the sacrifices to cease.
The Abomination of Desolation: The Antichrist will Claim to be Messiah and God.
Since the sharing of the Temple Mount will have been placed under international supervision, the Antichrist will stand on the Temple Mount claiming ultimate authority there. Since God said repeatedly in scripture that He would put His name there, this action by the Antichrist is referred to as the Abomination of Desolation.
Jews Living in Judea Under Palestinian Government will have to Run for Their Lives
Only those who know and believe the prophecy of Jesus in Matthew 24:15-21 will escape. The rest will fall victim to the new holocaust.
The Great Tribulation will Begin.
Jesus described the wave of persecution this way: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21)
Another Jewish Holocaust in Europe
There are presently 1.6 million Jews living in Europe. Europe is going to be the powerbase of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Anti-Semitism is rising dramatically in Europe right now. It feels like 1938 all over again!
America will Protect Israel During the Great Tribulation
Many people wonder if America will forsake Israel while siding with the Antichrist. However, the Bible states that the eagle (the U.S.) will give Israel protection all during the Great Tribulation. (Revelation 12:14)
The Mark of the Beast will be Imposed Upon the World.
The Antichrist will demand the allegiance of every human being on earth. His enforcement mechanism will be the Mark of the Beast. All who refuse to worship the Antichrist and his world government will be boycotted economically. The Bible says they will be unable to buy or sell.
Jordan and Israel will Never Fall Under the Power of the Antichrist.
Daniel 11:41 specifically states that Edom (Petra in southern Jordan), Moab (the Moab Mountains are in central Jordan), and the children of Ammon (Jordan’s capital is Amman, Jordan) will escape out of the hand of the Antichrist. Jordan and Israel are America’s two best friends in the Middle East.
When the 7 Years are Finished, the World Community will Demand that Israel Surrender Control Over East Jerusalem, but Israel will Refuse.
Undoubtedly, the UN Security Council will pass a resolution demanding that Israel give east Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.
The World Community will Invade Israel, Triggering the Battle of Armageddon.
In Zechariah 14:2, God said, “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle…” The nations making up the World Community will think it’s their idea to invade Israel. However, it will be God’s plan to bring them to Jerusalem to pour His judgment out upon them there.
The Battle of Armageddon will Begin at the Plain of Megiddo in Northern Israel. Slowly but surely, the Superior Firepower of the World Government Forces will drive Israel Back Toward Jerusalem.
Facing certain defeat, Israel will make its last stand at Jerusalem. Then, half of Jerusalem will fall to the world government forces. (Zechariah 14:2)
Just When it Looks Like Israel will be Driven Into the Sea, Jesus will Descend From Heaven and Fight for Israel.
Zechariah 14:3 describes this divine intervention: “Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.”
The Antichrist and the False Prophet will be Cast Into the Lake of Fire.
The political leader and the spiritual leader of the end time New World Order will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 19:20)
The Governments of the World will be Removed. Jesus and His church will Rule the Earth for the Next 1,000 Years.
This abolishment of human governments and the establishment of the kingdom of God is described many places in scripture. One of those places is Daniel 7:9, “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.”
Another account of the transition from human government to the Kingdom of God can be found in Revelation 11:15-19.
What should We be Doing?
Now for the critical question: Knowing what lies ahead, what should we be doing? Should we be focused on self-preservation or world evangelism?
Jesus answered this question in Matthew 6:31-33, “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Jesus was simply saying, you take care of my business, and I will take care of your business. What is Jesus’ business? He told us in the great commission: Go ye therefore and teach all nations. That is our assignment!
Is it then wrong to make common sense provisions for the future? Of course not! But that should not be our main focus! Our obsession should be to preach the gospel to every person on earth.
How Can We do it?
It is estimated that there were 300 million people on earth during the time of Jesus and His apostles. We have over 7 billion human beings on earth today. This means we have 23 times as many people to reach with the gospel as Jesus and His disciples had. God has given us marvelous and unprecedented tools to accomplish the great commission here in these end times.
